out of festival awards with WODL.

4. WINNER : Jay Tessier for OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR
IN A MAJOR ROLE in BEDSIDE MANNERS.

2009 Western Drama League Awards
Theatre Windsor is proud to have had three plays adjudicated for the WODL Festival this year. "Deathtrap" directed by Robert Carnevale and "A Christmas Story" directed by Mario Carnevale were adjudicated for Out of Festival consideration and "On Golden Pond" directed by Terry Ware was adjudicated for In Festival consideration.
Announcements for nominations and winners were made on Sunday February 22, 2009 in Woodstock.
Theatre Windsor garnered 11 nominations in total for the three shows adjudicated by the Western Ontario Drama League.That is a new record for most nominations for Theatre Windsor in one year. The old record was 6 in 2007.
"A Christmas Story" received 8 nominations!!!!!!!!! A record for most Theatre Windsor WODL nominations for one production shattering the old record of 4 nominations set by "Misery" in 2006. Of the 8 nominations, "A Christmas Story" won two categories, Outstanding Performance by a Juvenile and Best Sound.
"Deathtrap" received 2 nominations and "On Golden Pond" received 1 nomination.
This is the fourth season that Theatre Windsor has been adjudicated by WODL. In total, Theatre Windsor has now received 25 WODL nominations (12 acting and 13 direction and technical) with 7 wins (4 acting and 3 sound).
Twenty Six shows were adjudicated this season for WODL consideration.
1. Nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Major Role - PETER HRASTOVEC for his portrayal of "The Old Man" in "A Christmas Story". This is Theatre Windsor's fourth Best Actor nomination. Theatre Windsor has had a Best Actor nominee in each of the four years it has participated in WODL adjudications.
2. Nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actor - Jay Tessier for his protrayal in "On Golden Pond". This is Theatre Windsor's second Best Supportiing Actor nomination.
3. Nominated for The Hadley Award for Outstanding Performance by a Juvenile AND WINNER! - Aaron Hrastovec for his portrayal of "Ralphie" in "A Christmas Story". This is Theatre Windsor's first win in the Juvenile category.
4. Nominated for Best Director - Mario Carnevale for "A Christmas Story". This is Theatre Windsor's first nomination in the Director's Category.
5. Nominated for Best Sound - "Deathtrap".
6. Nominated for Best Sound AND WINNER!- "A Christmas Story". This is Theatre Windsor's third sound award and fourth nomination.
7. Nominated for Best Visual - "A Christmas Story". This is Theatre Windsor's second nomination in this category.
8. Nominated for Best Costumes - "A Christmas Story". This is Theatre Windsor's first nomination in this category.
9. Nominated for Best Ensemble Cast - "A Christmas Story". This is Theatre Windsor's first nomination in this category.
10. Nominated for Best Set - "A Christmas Story". This is Theatre Windsor's first nomination in this category.
11. Nominated for Lighting Design and Execution - "Deathtrap". This is Theatre Windsor's first nomination in this category.

2008 Western Drama League Awards
Theatre Windsor is proud to have two plays considered for the Western Ontario League Drama League Awards this year.
Announcements for nominations and winners were made on Sunday February 17, 2008 in Chatham.
For the third year in a row, Theatre Windsor claimed a major Actress Award.
In total, Theatre Windsor garnered four nominations and won two of them.
The winners:
Kristen Dias won Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for her role as Vicki Bennett in Hide and Seek. This marks the second consecutive year Theatre Windsor won in this category. Two years ago, Theatre Windsor won the Actress in a Lead Role category........way to go Girls!!!!
Chris Dale won a Special Adjudicator's Award for Music Composition for Hide and Seek.
Nominated for Awards:
Cindy Lee Lambert nominated in the Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Lead Role for her role as Cindy Savage in Self Help.
Mark Baker nominated in the Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Lead Role for his role as Hal Savage in Self Help. This is the third year in a row that Theatre Windsor had a nominee in this category.
Hide and Seek was directed by Jeff Bastien. The play was adjudicated in October, 2007 for Out of Festival consideration.
Self Help was directed by Sean Ireland. The play was adjudicated in January, 2008 for In Festival consideration.

Winners include: Marnie Renaud for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for her role as Brett Barkley in "The Fighting Parson".
Clinton Hammond won a Special Adjudicator Award for Sound Design for "A Christmas Carol"

2006 Western Drama League Awards
Theatre Windsor was selected as a Festival finalist for its' presentation of MISERY. The show garnered four nominations.
Michelle Mainwaring won The Bonanno Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Major Role for her role as Annie Wilkes.
Jay Gale was nominated for the Terry Doyle Memorial Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Major Role for his role as Paul Sheldon.
MISERY was nominated for the Spanik Award for Best Visual Production.
MISERY placed Third in the Festival held in Owen Sound, Ontario
